Hucklebaby Boutique: Best Baby/Child category Award of Excellence!

As (hopefully!) all of you know, my good friend Nellie and I have a small business, Hucklebaby Boutique. This past Labor Day Weekend was our second year entering a large festival called, Matthews Alive! It's a huge downtown affair complete with funnel cakes and every imaginable craft/art booth you could think of. We had so much fun doing it last year that we were eager to enter again this year and we're so glad we did! Though it was SWELTERING hot, we managed to keep ourselves entertained talking to all of the PrEgNaNt mommies our booth drew in... It's truly the best part of the whole experience! We love meeting prego's and new mommies! Additionally we were selected to receive the Award of Excellence for the Baby/Child category! It was completely unexpected! We were given a plaque and had our picture taken with the Mayor. That's right - we're famous...Oprah should be calling any day now! (Please?:-)

This year we had some new products like diaper bags (see left of the picture), Hucklebaby Pouch Slings (far right) and Hucklebaby Leggy's - which are leggings for babies and toddlers. SO cute!

Jackson had fun trying to tip over our 'neighbors' PVC-pipe birds. Yep - he made them out of PVC pipe! We were amazed to see just how hot the market is for avian decor! Must be a southern thing?

Riley had fun helping Jack try to tip over birds and also wrecked havoc in our other 'neigbors's' homemade dresses. Luckily she captivated the owners with her jumping skills and over-all cuteness so they couldn't be upset for long. :-)

Eddison was our best seller/demonstrator for the Hucklebaby Pouch Sling! He was used as a 'practice' baby for pregnant mommies and/or mommies with sleeping babe's who really wanted to try the sling out before buying. What a champion! :-)
