Happy Easter 2009!

He Is Risen!

Happy Easter!  The festivities began a week before Easter with an egg-hunt hosted by our neighborhood.  Then on Tuesday evening we braved the chilly air and attended the Scienski's annual Easter Egg Hunt!  There were well over 200 eggs hidden in the grass and the kids were loving it!  Thank you so much, Tiffany and Skeet!

Easter Day was beautiful and apart from church we spent the day outside playing together as a family (My FAVORITE thing to do!).  The kids loved the treats the Easter Bunny left for them and had more than enough to sample throughout the day.  Of course, Jackson had only picked up the BLUE candy so Eddie scored all of the other colors.  I'm surprised he didn't vomit by the end of the day. :)

Jack at the Scienski's Egg-Hunt - picking up only the BLUE eggs.

Eddie was immediately side-tracked when he realized there was candy in the eggs.

Norah looked beautiful and had fun hitching a ride for the hunt.  She'll be all over those eggs next year! :)

Jackson's basket at the end of the hunt.

Arwen and Jack.  Part-time friends and part-time enemies. :)  Whenever Jack would find a non-blue egg he would run and put it in Arwen's basket for her.  It was pretty sweet. :)

Definitely the cleanest point of our egg-dying activity. :)  I'm glad we took their shirts off before allowing them to dive in.

Norah got an adorable sun/swim hat to match her swimming suit and a new toy for Easter. :)

It's only 6:30 am and he's already got chocolate on his face.  (Don't worry - I may have let them go overboard yesterday since it was Easter, but I hid their candy after they went to bed and will be dispersing it sparingly from now on.)

Jackson:  "The Easter Bunny Came!"

Norah was all smiles on Easter. :)

Justin tried his best to get Eddie to sit with us, but he could not be parted from his Easter basket.  (Clearly Jack had also recently been enjoying something of the chocolate variety.)

Silly girl. :)

These cute 'First Easter'  jammies were a gift from Nana.  Look how cute the feeties are with the bunnies!  LOL!  Thank you, Nana!
