When it comes to pumpkin farms NC is full of them! Our current favorite is Riverbend Farms - located just 25 mins. from home and full of fun activities for the kids like slides, old farm equipment to play on (like tractors, hay-balers, etc.), a large pond stocked with huge catfish, farm animals, a fun tractor-pulled trailer ride to the pumpkin fields, and new this year - a larger than life dairy cow. :)
Yes, those are our children attempting to milk the big cow. :)

Eddison has such a contagious smile and the most adorable laugh. I just love this little rugrat!
Daddy's Girl
Poor Eddie always has to be the girl, lol. (We'll see if this changes when he hits another growth spurt and is suddenly twice as big as Jack ;).
Norah loved the ride to the pumpkin patch! We were seated in a long covered trailer pulled by a huge tractor. There's no better way to experience anything than through the eyes of a child. :)
Once the tractor unloaded us in the vast pumpkin field Daddy was on a mission to find the perfect pumpkins!
Jackson very quickly realized that his 'perfect pumpkin' needed to be one that he could carry, lol. Once this was realized it didn't take long for him to make a final decision. :)
Eddie, however, was too hot (and un-admittedly tired) to carry the pumpkin he insisted on. So instead, I gave him a blanket to carry for me and I hauled his pumpkin around for him.
Norah loved running from pumpkin to pumpkin - even though her feet kept getting tangled in the vines. She was just so excited the whole time! Since it pretty much rained all October last year, this was her first time at a pumpkin patch!
Eddie was in much better spirits once we were back on the trailer with his prized pumpkin seated next to him. :)
Jack was also full of excietment... Can you tell? :)
Justin paid extra for the boys to have a shot (pun intended) at shooting an enormous air gun. The target was the shell of a real school bus set up on 20 ft. tall stilts. Children's faces were painted in the cardboard windows of the bus to make it appear like a 'real' schoolbus. The overall effect was pretty cute, but I found it slightly disturbing that it was, in fact, a target, lol! Only in the south, right? Both boys (with the help of Justin's aim) hit the bus and loved firing the huge weapon.
What a great day! (Well, except for when Eddie dropped trow and peeped on one of the big silo slides, lol.)

oh i miss riverbend farms! we loved that place and went every year! those silo slides are the best. i'd never seen the target practice at the bus-- was that new too?
Amy and I went down the slides quite a few times. So much fun!!!
OH! Baby Beckett has my uterus screaming for another!!! he is TOO TOO cute.
side note: robb thinks Jackson looks just like Justin, but sees Justin's hair on Eddie-o. safe to say everyone is too cute for words.
