Game Ball and Family Day

Future Tee-Baller.

A few weeks ago, Jack was awarded the 'game ball' after their tee-ball game. (We knew it was going to happen since the coach had emailed us the 'game ball' schedule, but Jackson did not know.)

We were so proud of him (though every kid gets a chance to receive the 'game ball', he really did play a great game!) and he was so excited!

Because he was so excited he didn't know what to do with himself for a few minutes, lol. The coach handed him the ball and he started running off the field to come show us, and we had to to yell at him to go back to his team because the coach was still talking. Jackson is still so proud of his game ball and has even slept with it under his pillow several times.

Last week there was a 'Family vs. Family' game practice which was a fun alternative to all of the real games they've had. All family members were allowed to play and Eddie and Norah were beyond excited to actually be allowed on the field. I sat with Beckett for the most part, although we (Beckett and me) did get a chance to run for Jack :). Norah was so entertaining, though! She just wanted in on all the action and couldn't be bothered to adhere to the rules (surprised?). :)

She entered the field with her game face on... wearing mismatched princess heals and pink sunglasses. In tee-ball - intimidation is the name of the game.

At this point she realized that in order to bat you had to have a helmet on. So she 'borrowed' another kid's helmet and insisted, "I do it a-self!" as she tried to put it on.

Well, she DID get it on. (Realizing her mistake she accepted a little help from Daddy to turn the helmet around.)

Heading out with determination and bare feet. (No, she didn't actually get to hit the ball. The tee is taller than she is, lol. But she sure looked cute trying!)

Beckett borrowed Jackson's hat to help protect his (mostly) bald head from the hot, hot sun. He looks so adorable in a baseball hat!

Tee-ball has been so much fun! We are sad that this week will mark the end of the current season, but are already looking forward to the fall season. :)
