Quarantine

It's official: The World Health Organization has issued that the quarantine formerly placed on the Wilde household has been lifted and the crisis averted.

Monday:

After being awakened by a crying Jackson for two or three nights (it's a blur, really...) and a crying and coughing Eddison, I decided to take them in to see their pediatrician. Something more than a cold was making my boys miserable and it needed to be addressed ASAP!

Diagnosis:

Jackson - double ear infection and bronchitis
Eddison - croup

WHAT?!?! At the same time?! Where is the justice in this?! Where is the mercy?! Needless to say we've been a sorry bunch of blobs around here this week. The boys are finally feeling better today thanks to lots of rest, antibiotics, and for Eddison - steroids. (maybe he should play baseball?!) I'm now happy to report that Eddie no longer sounds like he's got a smoker's cough or the black-lung. Jackson is back to throwing cars at Eddie (more on that later!) and has learned some new tricks...(again - more later...with pictures!)
